Different between Screen Printing and Digital Printing

What's Screen Printing
Screen printing is a printing technique whereby a mesh is used to transfer ink onto a substrate, except in areas made impermeable to the ink by a blocking stencil.
Advantages of Screen Printing
  1. Highly cost-efficient process for bulk orders.
  2. Easy to print on specified areas.
  3. Huge range of printable fabrics such as wood, textiles, glass and more.
  4. Top-quality output.
  5. Long-lasting prints.
Screen printing is the ultimate option for designs that need a top level of vibrancy especially when printing on dark background or product. Used for larger orders, the dye colour in screen printing equipment is applied thicker than the digital printing that results in brighter colour even on darker shades.
What's Digital Printing
Digital printing is the process of printing digital-based images directly onto a variety of media substrates. There is no need for a printing plate, unlike with offset printing. It usually refers to professional printing where small-run jobs from desktop publishing and other digital sources are printed using large-format and/or high-volume laser or inkjet printers. Digital printing has a higher cost per page than more traditional offset printing methods.
Advantages of Digital Printing
  1. Easy to print various colours.
  2. Changeable data and personalisation options.
  3. Minimum set up costs.
  4. The design does not bump out.
  5. Good for short runs.
Digital printing is ideally suited on a light coloured base as the ink is applied thinner that enables the design to shine through.

Functions and Structure Hot Air Stenter Machine

In the textile industry, we often use a stenter. Do you know what the purpose of using the device is? The Hot Air Stenter is mainly composed of several main devices, each of which has a different function. Let's take a look. First, let's summarize what the main structure of the hot air stenter machine is. The main devices are: cloth feeding device, rolling device, hot air circulation system, cooling device, weft feeder device, drying room, and super feed device, door width adjusting device and dehumidifying device. Among them, the cloth feeding device is used for feeding and discharging cloth, and the rolling device is mainly for padding the fabric. In addition, the hot air circulation system of the hot air stenter machine plays a major role in improving the heat utilization efficiency and production efficiency of the equipment. The cooling device cools the finished product while reducing the crease of the cloth. As for the super-feeding device, it is mainly t...

Inaccurate Registration of Rotary Screen Printer

When two or more patterns of registrations are printed, all or part of the patterns on the printed fabric are staggered or overlapped, which is seriously inconsistent with the original, called inaccurate registration. (1)Constant Inaccurate Registration Constant Inaccurate Registration means that the registration is not inaccurate from the start of driving, and the corresponding pattern always shifts from the original position or overlaps. The low impact factors of such problems can be found in the following reasons: the accuracy of the printing machine, the rotary screen and its plate making, the process, the operation, the printed fabric, and the patch pulp. (2)Inaccurate Left and right Registration That is to say, the registration is accurate in the middle, but inaccurate on the right or left. In this case, it is necessary to check whether the mechanical operation of the rotary screen printing part is normal; whether the film draft conforms to each set of film ...

Difference Between Flat Screen Printer&Rotary Screen Printer

Most of the screen printing procedures are different; we can discuss about the difference between Flat Screen Printing Machine & Rotary Screen Printing Process: As to Flat Screen Printer , the screen is flat and moves up and down. Beside, the Rotary screen is round in size and it rotates. In Flat screen printer, the Squeeze is used. In Rotary Screen Printing, just Roller is used. Small width fabric (45-50″) is printed on Flat Screen Printing. On the other side, large width fabric is printed on Rotary screen printing. In flat screen printing pattern, there are only 6 to 8 color is available. But if you use the Rotary Screen printing, then you will be able to use 16 to 24 colors in a pattern. Flat screen printer process gives a lower production rate. And the Rotary Screen printing is comparatively faster than Flat Screen printing and production rate is 3 times higher than that. The initial investment cost for Flat screen printing machine is low, so that it’s less expens...
